Typhoid Fever

Typhoid fever is a serious bacterial infection caused by Salmonella Typhi, typically contracted through contaminated food or water, leading to high fever, weakness, abdominal pain, headache and sometimes a rash of flat, rose-colored spots. It spreads via the fecal-oral route, often in areas with poor sanitation and can become life-threatening if untreated, causing complications like intestinal perforation. Antibiotics such as ciprofloxacin or azithromycin are effective treatments, while vaccines offer prevention for travelers to endemic regions. The bacteria can linger on surfaces or in water, making hygiene critical.

Sprinkle Spray’s non-toxic, odorless disinfectant fogging method can help limit its spread by dispersing a safe, ultra-fine mist that can help limiting the spread of Salmonella Typhi on contact, disinfecting both air and surfaces in homes, kitchens or public spaces. This eco-friendly approach provides thorough sanitation without harsh chemicals, reducing transmission risks in vulnerable settings.
